Loshon Hora-cheryl browne

Loshon Hora is a Hebrew word for “evil tongue” or “evil speech”. As we  study the different religions, they all speak of the use of your mouth in negative ways as a sin. One of the true ways to keep your blessings from flowing through to you is to continue in the practice of “Loshon Hora”-speaking evil from the tongue. We are reminded in Psalms 34:13 “Keep thy tongue from evil and thy lips from speaking guile”.  What is said with the mouth cannot be taken back, and that is why if we are going to walk in the ways of Jesus Christ, we must learn to rescind from the practice of “Loshon Hora”. Let’s look at Romans 1:29-32, this will explain the things God says we should not use our tongues for, backbiting, whisperers, boasters, to name a few. God considers these things a sin and He is most saddened by these actions.

We are all children of God and when we open our mouths, it should be about about growth, increase, solutions, empowerment, something that will raise up the kingdom of Our Lord.  That is what our job is here on earth to lift up the Kingdom of the Lord, to empower our brethren to be better. To increase our finances, to have solutions to our problems, to see growth around us.

It is our jobs as Christians to build the Kingdom up. God is not a God of suffering; he wants us to have everything his Kingdom has promised for us.  If you use your mouth  for negative connotations, you are blocking your blessings. God loves you and he wants you to love each other in the same manner. Don’t you want to make  God  happy? Don’t you want to make someone’s day with a positive thought,  a solution to their problem, lift them out of the doldrums, increase their finances, grow your church?  Through God all things are possible. ALL THINGS!  Try to resist the practice of Loshon Hora and find out the difference it will make in your life.  God Bless.
